Inside the film / The world

An original dark fantasy
with anime DNA.

Transformation, dual identity and demonic power, told through a live-action story.

Sua with blue supernatural weapons and winged Nara in DEMON DANCER: SUA/NARA

For audiences drawn to supernatural action in anime and manga, the premise of DEMON DANCER: SUA/NARA offers a familiar kind of tension: power comes with another presence inside you. Sua, a Korean ballerina, willingly invites the demon Nara into her body in pursuit of vengeance. They share one body, but remain two souls.

Inspiration, with an original story

Written and directed by Attila Korosi, the film is an original live-action feature. It does not adapt an existing anime or manga. Its anime-inspired identity comes through in its transformations, graphic compositions, heightened emotion and supernatural battles.

That distinction matters to the experience. The audience meets Sua and Nara through their own story: a demonic curse, the loss of Sua’s husband and an uneasy alliance formed around revenge. No knowledge of an existing series is required.

A female-led supernatural action fantasy

Jiyeon Han as Sua and Anita Korosi as Nara lead the film. Their uneasy alliance drives its action: a ballerina searching for vengeance and a demon offering power, sharing one body while remaining two souls.

A human body at the center of the fantasy

The supernatural power is tied to physical performance. Sua is a ballerina, and Jiyeon Han brings a professional background in ballet and choreography to the role. Movement shapes both her vulnerability and her ability to fight.

The contrast with Nara gives the film its visual tension. A human figure and a demonic presence occupy the same story, while practical movement keeps the heightened world connected to bodies, spaces and impact.

Memory changes the shape of the story

Sua’s memories interrupt the present as she reaches the edge of death. Rather than following a straightforward progression toward revenge, the film moves through the experiences that brought her to this moment. The emotional question is whether she will return to the fight or retreat into the comfort of what she has lost.
